The Possibilities Conference (for women only)

Someone asked me today why The Possibilities Conference was for women only. I love the company of men, don’t get me wrong, but there are times when women can benefit greatly from the sole support of other women. Women like to share experiences together. They even go to the bathroom in groups. There are differences in how we handle our emotions.

“Women cry then get drunk. Men get drunk and then cry.”

I grew up in a house with four older sisters, my mom and my Slovenian grandmother. When we had arguments there was high drama. Once those female emotions unleashed there was a lot of yelling (big vocal ranges in my family) and crying. It would take several hours for everyone to calm down. At the time, I wished I had a brother I could turn to and escape from all of those women.

Now that I’m older I appreciate having grown up with so many females. Women are nurturing. In a group they can powerfully create an amazing emotional support system and boost each others self-worth. To make that happen they need to let loose at a girls day out.

So, I hope you’ll join me at The Possibilities Conference at the Evergreen Brick Works in Toronto on October 23rd for four powerful workshops designed for women.

Meantime, I’d love to know what you think the differences are between men and women.
